Folwell Residential Resurfacing Project Update + Meeting

The Public Works Department is proposing a street resurfacing project that includes a portion of the Powderhorn Park Neighborhood. The construction is expected to take place during the 2023 construction season and take about four weeks to complete. As a part of the financing for this work there will be a special assessment levied to adjacent property owners.

This resurfacing project is part of the Public Works ongoing street improvement program. The purpose of the project is to extend the life of the streets in this area by overlaying them with a new layer of asphalt. Doing this will delay more time-consuming and expensive repairs in future years.

The Department of Public Works will hold an informational meeting on Wednesday, February 8, at 7:00 p.m. at Powderhorn Park (3400 15th Ave S). The purpose of the meeting will be to provide a project overview and discuss the special assessment process. Information to be provided includes how assessments are calculated, when they would start to be collected, and the available payment options. Representatives from Public Works will be available to answer questions.
