Make a health appointment at Southside Community Health Services (Southside)

Southside offers exceptional medical, dental, vision and behavioral health services to the community. They accept most public and private insurance plans and offer many of their health care services on a sliding-fee scale for those who qualify. They also accept self-pay patients and can arrange a payment plan that works best for you. Learn more and book an appointment here.


Get mental health support to heal from trauma with Cornerstone

Cornerstone’s advocates specialize in supporting people who’ve experienced trauma as a result of domestic violence, sexual violence, human trafficking or general crime. Learn more and get help here.


Stay active with Out in the Backyard (OITBY)

Out in the Backyard is a 501c.3 organization that is geared towards empowering LGBTQ Health in the Backyard communities of South Minneapolis. They offer FREE exercise classes for all! Learn more and make plans to attend a class here.


All youth programs and sports are free beginning this summer at 17 Minneapolis parks and facilities! Registration fees have been eliminated for all youth programs, activities and sports leagues based at Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board (MPRB) parks, recreation centers and facilities located within census-designated Areas of Concentrated Poverty (ACP). Explore healthy eating and give back with the Good Grocer! The Good Grocer is a volunteer-run store, reducing operating costs and passing that savings onto customers. Shop there for quality zero-waste and sustainable foods and consider volunteering 2.5 hours a month for a 20% discount. Learn more here or check it out in person at 2650 Nicollet Ave. S. Make sure to also check out Sisters Camelot, a local organization who gives out free organic food twice a week throughout the Twin Cities. Learn more and check their food-share schedule here.
