5:30 pm – Social Hour & Dinner
6:00 pm – Annual Meeting & Board Elections
@ the Powderhorn Park Recreation Center – 3400 15th Avenue
Please join us November 13th at the Powderhorn Park Recreation Center from 5:30 to 8:00 pm for food and social time with neighbors, a program looking at the past year and what’s to come, and an election of new board members of PPNA.
After a great year of supporting and strengthening our community, PPNA is excited to bring you community stories, the PPNA Annual Report and the Board elections.
In early 2014, PPNA conducted a community survey and one theme came up time and time again: Our Roots Are Deep in Powderhorn.
Arrive at 5:30 pm to mix and mingle and enjoy our annual Community Meal catered by theHouse of Hunger Food Truck.
To reduce the environmental event impact, PPNA is applying for ‘Green Event’ Certificationfrom the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board. You can help too by walking or riding your bike.
At 6:00 pm, we’ll highlight programs, partnerships and developments at PPNA. During the evening you will find out more about getting involved in the neighborhood and participate in the 2014 Board elections.
Our neighborhood is full of artistic creativity and the Annual Meeting will include an amazing annual photo exhibit of neighborhood images presented by Powderhorn365. PPNA is excited to showcase stories from our community members in celebration of our deep roots with the help of Powderhorn poet and artist Molly Van Avery.
Bring the whole family – free childcare will be provided. Simultaneous Spanish translation will also be provided.
We Want You to Join the PPNA Board of Directors!

PPNA members (those living, working, or owning property in the neighborhood) can run for the board and elect board members at this meeting. Perks include meeting and working with a great group of neighbors, staff, and elected officials; learning about the neighborhood and nonprofit governance; and contributing to the vitality of our community. We provide orientation in December and trainings throughout the year.
PPNA works to enhance the quality of life in the Powderhorn Park neighborhood by facilitating community engagement, embracing a diversity of voices, and fostering economic and community development. Be a part of this important mission!
