Energy Saver Rebates Now Available

Posted in

The Energy Saver Rebates through MN Housing rolled out this past Monday and there is only $4m so it will go fast!  This is a program that the state has put together to help assist with the cost of energy improvements and in order to access the rebate residents MUST take out a Fix Up Fund (FUF) loan.  Once the loan is closed and the improvements are complete, residents can apply for the rebate which is 35% of the qualifying improvements up to a maximum rebate amount of $10,000.  This rebate is in the form of a check that does NOT have to be applied to the loan.   It is important to ensure that the improvements qualify for the rebate, they must meet a certain energy efficiency standard.  (details are attached)   All of this is done through the Center for Energy and Environment.
