Green Institute Workshops
New: ReUse-Energy Workshop on Window Rehabbing (See flyer attached with details) to help homeowners choose the right option for improving the performance of their windows. This workshop will cover temporary or permanent fixes to reduce heat loss and air infiltration on existing windows, reversing the effects of deterioration on historic wood windows and making an appropriate window replacement. Featuring window restoration specialist Paul Schmidt of Twin Cities-based Restoration Window Systems. Thursday, March 4 6:30 - 8 PM, 2801 21st Avenue South, Minneapolis. New: Workshop on energy efficiency and green living for first time homeowners, co-hosted by the Green Institute, the City of Minneapolis and Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity. The workshop will cover appliances, heating and cooling, water usage, moisture control and sustainable living. Information on local resources that complement the program and address the needs of this audience will be provided at the end, including low cost conservation products, multi-lingual guides to reading bills and permit applications, up-to-date rebates and incentives, carbon reduction resource sheets, etc.
