Jen Aspengren
Jen Aspengren has lived in Powderhorn since 2004. She serves as the Director for National Programming and the Midwest Region, and the manager for Asia region, for Youth Venture. She holds an M.P.P. in Urban Policy and Nonprofit Management from the Humphrey Institute, and a B.A. in English and Justice and Peace Studies from the University of St. Thomas. She and her husband, Jeff, love the neighborhood and take frequent walks in the park.

Sara Bergen
A Minneapolitan by birth, Sara has also lived in Arizona and Philadelphia. Since 2002 she has resided in Powderhorn with her husband, Matt, a visual artist. Sara believes that creating strong, positive local community interconnectedness is the basis for life-long happiness. She prefers showers over baths, running over walking, schedules over spontaneity, breakfast over dinner, forgiveness over permission, and the Replacements over Husker Du, but Spearhead über alles! Outside of the home she works for the Department of Housing and Urban Development, but inside the home is where the real work is: raising toddlers Milo and Emmett. Her BA is in Spanish, her MBA isn't yet finished, and neither is she. Manos a la obra, PoHo!!

Morgan Church
Morgan Church is Director of New Media Development and Distribution for Public Radio International and has called Minneapolis home for over twenty years. He holds a bachelor's degree in marketing from Metropolitan State University. Morgan is an accomplished glass blower and spends much of his free time renovating his Powderhorn home.

Kim Ferencik
Kim Ferencik has been a Powderhorn homeowner since 2003. She has worked for a variety of nonprofit organizations and is currently the volunteer coordinator for Family & Children's Service.She holds a B.A. in Urban Studies from Macalester College and a Master's degree in Urban Affairs from Hunter College, City University of New York. She, her husband, son and dog love the neighborhood, especially the people and the park!

Becky George
Becky George, former business owner in Mercado Central and current Market Manager at the Mercado, brings a more seasoned aspect to the PPNA Board. As a board member of Bloomington Cedar Lake Commercial Association and as President of Lake Street Council, she encourages economic development that enhances the quality of life for the neighborhoods. Becky’s other interests are ethnic cooking, arts and grandchildren!

Jenny Jenkins
Jenny Jenkins is a fine art photographer who has lived in Minneapolis since 1993. She holds a bachelor's degree in Spanish from Georgetown University and an MFA from Minneapolis College of Art and Design. Since buying her house and the adjacent vacant lot in 2000, Jenny has run the Powderhorn East Community Garden. Jenny works as a freelance prop and wardrobe stylist for commercial photo and video shoots. She is currently researching a rephotographic survey of historic images of New Orleans, her former home.

Matt Lasley
Matt Lasley has been a resident of Powderhorn since 2004 and has lived in the Twin Cities nearly his entire life. By day, Matt is a commercial real estate attorney at the law firm of Oppenheimer Wolff & Donnelly LLP. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from Indiana University and a J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law. In nice weather, Matt enjoys walking in Powderhorn Park with his partner, Jen, and their two dogs, Clancy and Finnegan. He is also an avid cruciverbalist and card player.

Gregg Lind
Gregg Lind has lived in Powderhorn in a "Powderhorn"-style Little Lots house since 2004. In addition to his PPNA work, he is on the planning committee of the Sexy Spring Collective. He earns his keep working as a data engineer at Renesys on the Babbledog site. He and is partner also run Coppertone Studios Photography. Gregg hold an MS in Biostatistic from the U of Minnesota, and undergraduate degrees from Grinnell and Simon's Rock.

Tom Lonergan
Tom Lonergan and Irene Duranczyk have lived in the Powderhorn neighborhood for five-and-a-half years since they and their sons, Ed, 22 and Vince, 19, moved to Minneapolis from Detroit. Tom has worked for trade unions for most of the last twenty years as a writer/editor, organizer, and service representative. He is currently a union representative for Office and Professional Employees International Union Local 12 in Minneapolis. He has served on Local Union boards, was a parent representative on the Detroit Waldorf School Board and, while his sons attended South High, was active in People United for South High and the South High Baseball Boosters.

Randy Lyon
Randy Lyon is manager of client solutions at Mosaic Sales Solutions for Best Buy and has lived in Powderhorn for 7-years. He holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Cincinnati. Randy is also a block leader for the Parkside West Neighborhood and enjoys biking, gardening and home renovation projects.

Khusaba Seka
Khusaba Seka has worked and or lived in the Powderhorn neighborhood for twelve years. She is a mother of three and enjoys living and working in a neighborhood that operates as a community! She is currently the Community Builder/Civic Engagement Coordinator at Pillsbury House and has worked in social service settings for fourteen years. Khusaba has a passion for the arts and enjoys relaxing in her free time.

Zoe Sommers Haas
Zoe Sommers Haas is a lifelong resident of Central Neighborhood and has many roots in the Powderhorn community, ranging from fifteen years of participation in the May Day Parade to playing sports at Powderhorn Park. Zoe is the Program Director for the Powderhorn Youth Farm and Market Project, a nonprofit offering free programming focused on urban agriculture, cooking, and nutrition for local youth. Zoe recently received a Liberal Arts Associates Degree from Minneapolis Community and Technical College.

Amanda Stoelb
Amanda Stoelb holds bachelor's degrees in Spanish and Justice and Peace Studies from the University of St. Thomas. She works at the Youth Farm and Market project on the West Side of St. Paul where she is quickly learning the arts of community gardening and cooking. She has lived in a beautiful apartment in Powderhorn since 2004.

Amy Wurdock
Amy Wurdock lives in Powderhorn Park with her husband and toddler and one on the way (child, not husband). She has a background in community organizing and low-income housing property management, working with several nonprofit entities such as Powderhorn Residents Group and Holland Neighborhood Association. She is interested in all aspects of life in Powderhorn, from the festivals to vacant and boarded housing, with particular foucs on the park. She has owned a home in Powderhorn since 1999.
