National Night Out Registration
National Night Out is an annual nationwide event that encourages residents to get out in the community. Holding block parties and getting to know their neighbors as a way to encourage crime prevention. Studies have shown that face-to-face communication builds the longest lasting relationships.
Get back to the basics and get to know our neighbors!
You can block your street for free through Tuesday July 24th and be included in a drawing for 5 PPNA T-Shirts along with tape to block off your street.
From July 25 through August 2, there is a $100 fee. After August 2 no applications for blocking off a street will be allowed.
If you haven’t registered your event yet, please check out Asst. Chief Harteau’s invitation to participate in this signature event celebrating community-police partnerships. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d4mBf1Xfs8g&feature=youtu.be

Here’s a bonus for you who wish to fill your National Night Out event with education and connect with the rest of the criminal justice system:
Hennepin County Prosecutors and other staff will be going out throughout the county and can answer questions on the criminal justice system and provide crime prevention tips. They’ll also have some giveaways for kids and families in keeping with the tone of the night. You may request a visit from their office by emailing Ashley Schweitzer at firstname.lastname@example.org or online to http://www.hennepinattorney.org/NNO2012.aspx . Please make the request by Friday, August 3rd.
